Our Story...

"You shouldn't set yourself limits in life" - in any case, that's what I truly believe!

​

I was an industrial mechanic in the Meuse department for a very long time and one fine day in my fifties I decided to change tack and train as an interior decorator for fifteen months at the European Center, and then I left everything for Fumel.

​

I teamed up with my friend Christine, who had been running the shop I'Dé à Coudre  for nine years at 12 bis, rue Léon Jouhaux - the two of us make a great pair!

 

I'll help you decorate your interior, and will restore and design armchairs and chairs for you. I use all types of upholstery fabric and know all the tricks of the trade, from the technical characteristics of the fabric to the finished effect the fabric will have on a piece of furniture.

 

Christine and I are completely complementary: she does alterations and embroidery, makes curtains, blinds, covers and cushions; and me, I renovate sofas, armchairs and chairs, but I also lend a hand with the sewing.

Together we'll guide you in your choice of upholstery and furnishing fabrics which you'll find in our shop.
